Ronda Rousey vs. Men? The MMA Community Debates

Fresh off of a record-setting 14-second championship finish, everyone seems to be talking about Ronda Rousey. Along with lots of praise and recognition from figures around the sport, Rousey has been hypothetically matched up with males in her weight class. Even ex-Dallas Cowboy wide receiver Jesse Holley chimed in, claiming that if he trained for a fight he could beat the UFC Queen.

Clearly, being male is an advantage when it comes to sports, and perhaps this is most obvious in the sport of fighting. When it comes to Ronda Rousey and top female MMA fighters, that advantage becomes less substantial. We have seen female MMA fighter Ediane Gomes beat a man in a fight
